Refund policy
Last updated 19 August 2026
The short version
1. What this covers
This policy explains how money moves when you subscribe to Savvy Plus, who to ask for a refund, and what happens to your access afterwards. It sits alongside our terms of service, and section 4 of those terms governs if the two ever disagree.
Savvy itself is free. You can practise drills, build a streak, earn XP and unlock badges without paying anything. Savvy Plus is optional.
2. Purchases go through Apple
Savvy Plus is sold as an in-app purchase. Apple processes the payment, charges your Apple ID, holds your payment details, and issues any refund. We never see your card number and we have no ability to reverse an App Store charge.
3. How to request a refund from Apple
Apple's refund route is open to you at any time, from any device:
- Go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID that made the purchase.
- Find the Savvy charge, choose “Request a refund”, and pick a reason.
- Apple reviews the request and tells you the outcome, usually within a few days.
You can also reach the same place from your device, in Settings under your Apple ID, then Media & Purchases, then Purchase History.
4. The free trial
Savvy Plus starts with a 7 day free trial. Nothing is charged during the trial. If you cancel before it ends, you are not billed at all.
- We send one reminder notification 2 days before the trial ends, so the first charge is never a surprise. That is a single push, not a campaign.
- If you buy a subscription while a trial is running, the trial ends immediately and the unused time is forfeited. That is Apple's behaviour, not ours.
- A trial converts automatically unless you cancel it. Cancelling during the trial keeps your access until the trial's last day.
5. Cancelling
Cancel from your Apple ID settings, under Subscriptions. Cancellation stops all future charges and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep Savvy Plus until then.
6. What happens to your access
- If you cancel, you keep Savvy Plus until the end of the current billing period, then drop back to the free experience.
- If Apple grants you a refund, your Savvy Plus access ends straight away. A refunded period is not a period you keep.
- Your account, progress, XP, streak and badges are untouched either way. Losing Plus does not lose your history.
- If Apple reverses a refund, your access is restored automatically.
7. Restoring a purchase you already made
If you have paid but the app does not show Savvy Plus, for example on a new phone or after a reinstall, you do not need a refund. Open the You tab and choose “Restore purchases”. Your entitlement is tied to your Apple ID and will come back.
If it does not, that is a bug and we want to hear about it. Write to us before asking Apple for a refund and we will get you sorted.
8. Where we can help
We cannot issue an App Store refund, and any page telling you otherwise would be wrong. What we can do is real:
- Confirm what you were charged for and when, so your request to Apple is accurate.
- Fix a broken entitlement, which is usually the actual problem behind a refund request.
- Cancel any reminder or trial notification you no longer want.
- Support your case with Apple, in writing, if something went wrong on our side.
Email hello@becomesavvy.app with the Apple ID email on the purchase, roughly when it happened, and what went wrong. We answer within 2 business days.
9. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy takes away a right the law gives you. If you are in the EU, the UK, or another place with a statutory right of withdrawal or a consumer guarantee that is stronger than what is described here, that right applies and this policy does not limit it.
